The Game of Education Playtest

Feedback, Fun, and Food

 The first-ever playtest for The Game of Education was a resounding success, providing invaluable insights into gameplay, player experiences, and opportunities for improvement. We gathered both qualitative and quantitative data to refine and enhance the game. Here’s an overview of what we learned and how the game has evolved since the playtest.

Overall Rating

  • 4.94/5: Participants overwhelmingly rated the game as highly engaging and impactful.

Player Engagement

  • 100% of players found the rules clear and easy to follow.
  • 94% agreed that the game accurately reflected the complexities of educational decision-making.

Component Effectiveness

  • Role Cards: Praised by 94% of players for immersing them in their roles.
  • Voting Cards: Received a perfect 100% approval for simplicity and strategic depth.
  • Scenario Cards: Highlighted by 93% of participants as highly effective in creating realistic dilemmas.
  • Power Cards: Valued by 88%, with feedback leading to enhancements for greater strategic impact.

Reflection Phase

  • 81% of players found the reflection phase meaningful, providing a valuable bridge between gameplay and real-world insights.

What Players Loved

Changes Made Since Playtest

  • Role Resource Hub:

We’re thrilled with the feedback from the playtest and are committed to making The Game of Education the best it can be. Our next steps include:
